Spent 20 years as a retiring lieutenant Colonel Henry Morrison Jr., 57, of Fallbrook 2nd Ward, Vista California Stake, stake director of public affairs, former mission president's counselor, San Diego California Temple executive committee member, bishop, branch president, stake mission president, and missionary in the Chilean Mission; president of Morrison & Associates Inc. and attorney; received legal degrees at George Washington University and DePaul University; born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Carleton Henry and Linnea Johanna Augusta Setterlind Morrison; married Mary Margaret Young; six children. She is a Church service missionary in California Carlsbad Mission office; former ward Relief Society president, visiting teaching coordinator, Relief Society teacher, ward activities committee chairman, ward Young Women president and ward Primary president; executive vice president with Morrison & Associates Inc.; attended BYU; born in Provo, Utah, to Scott Richmond and Louise Leonard Young. President and Sister Morrison will preside over the Spain Las Palmas Mission (Canary Islands) They with their Daughter Christie will enter the mission on July 1, 2000. In 1991, Carl Morrison was called to serve as the Executive Secretary to President Christensen, who was then serving as the Mission President of the San Diego California Mission. When the Mission was divided in July of 1993, President Jolley became the Mission President of the newly-formed California Carlsbad Mission, and Carl Morrison was called to be Second Counselor and also Executive Secretary under Pres. Jolley. In July of 1996 President Jolley was released and President Bateman was called as the new Mission President. Carl was then called to be First Counselor. In July of 1998 when President Bateman was called to the Seventy, Carl was called to be First Counselor to President Blackner, in which capacity he now serves.
