Just found out that the Mission Song "Hoch auf des Berges..." or High On a Mountain Top" was written by my distant relative, a brother of Benjamin Franklin Johnson--a great, great grandfather who was Joseph Smith's personal assistant and bodyguard. Anybody else out there have the same G G Grandfather?? It would be an understatement to say, "It's been a while!". It's FANTASTIC that "mission.net" has this service available to bring us missionary dudes together after all these years. Besides Bro. Rieske being a huge highlight on my mission, I also would pay tribute to Elder Carey Noorda who was my District Leader when I was a greenie. He's an orthodontist now in Henderson, NV who I'd love to say a big HI to as well as Elder Rieske who painted a "Pied Piper" picture of me due to the spelling of my last name. I'd love to hear about any kind of reunion. I live in Chandler, AZ and have two kids (one at the MTC right now) that are BYU students so I'm up in Utah several times a year.
