I have been a good friend of Sarah's dad for about 15 years. Sunny joined the church in Singapore when he was a teenager. He met his wife Laya, who is from Taiwan, when they were students at BYU Hawaii. Sarah is the Singaporean national champion and is slated to skate in the next winter olympics when she will be 17 years old. It would be kind of cool if a Chinese girl from a Mormon family skated in the winter olympics and also helped carry the torch at the Beijing summer games.
