After returning home (to Michigan) from Taiwan in October of 1981, Wendy and I were married in the Washington DC Temple in 1982. We lived the first ten years of our marriage in the Detroit area where I obtained a masters degree in architecture from Lawrence Institute of Technology (1986) and began a career as an architect. In 1993, after 33-years in the big city, we relocated to rural Mountain Green, Utah. A short ten years later, in early 2003 we relocated to north central Georgia and have enjoyed Southern hospitality here in Atlanta ever since.
We have five children; the oldest (Brian 26) completed a successful mission in the Idaho Pocatello Mission and is a computer science graduate student at Georgia Tech. Jacquie (24) is a returned missionary from Taichung and teaches Chinese at the MTC. Chelsea (21) is a missionary serving in Rome Italy, Hannah (18) a freshman at BYU and Ali (14) is a freshman in high school.
After five+ years of service, last September (2010) I was released as bishop of the Whitewater Ward in the Georgia Jonesboro Stake. Wendy is currently serving as a YW advisor. When not practicing architecture or serving on the high council, I enjoy running, whitewater kayaking, and laughing with my family. |
