For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
At this time it is wonderful to celebrate the long-awaited birth of the Son of God, the one who could open the door to the eternities. We celebrate life itself. Then was, and now is a time to celebrate the open door Christ has provided each to returning to him and to our families. We, too, celebrate this day as a time to live. We, yet again, declare at this season that we depend on the Lord and the power of the priesthood.
Two years ago at Christmas time we found out that Michael had thymic carcinoma, a rare form of cancer. A tumor had attached to the main artery of his heart. Lots of procedures followed: surgery, chemotherapy, additional surgery, proton radiation treatment and more. Through all of this, we watched the hand of the Lord in our lives blessing and guiding us. Michael is free of this disease today.
We want you to know that we think of you often and love hearing updates. We trust that you are engaged in a great work and are helping establish the Savior’s work on this earth. We know that life brings both sorrows and joys. We pray for your victories this Christmas. We hope for your best.
