Wow, this is a trip down memory lane! After the mission, I went home to Mesa, AZ. I went back to school and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Family Studies from Arizona State University. While going to school I worked in a detention center with troubled teens. After I graduated, I became a juvenile probation officer in Tucson, AZ. I decided that wasn't for me so I went back to working with the kids in detention. I met my husband, Bill, in 2001 through my roomate. We didn't start dating until several months later. We were married in the Mesa Arizona temple in August of 2002. We have one precious little girl named Savanna and another baby girl on the way (she's due in November). I am currently a counselor in the Young Women's program of my ward. It's been almost 2 years! I love working with the youth. It's good to see young people making righteous choices after working with so many troubled teens. I enjoy being a stay at home mom. It's the greatest calling in life I think. |
