Hello everyone! Been really busy since mission days - not even sure where to begin to catch everyone up. Ummm...well marriage didn't happen for me, so I chose to pursue all my other dreams. Went back to university and earned a BA in Middle East Studies/Hebrew. (That won't surprise those of you who knew me well - lol!) Then I moved to Israel to pursue my MA in Jewish Studies at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In 2009 I moved to Taiwan where I am currently teaching English at a private Chinese high school. In my spare time I study Mandarin Chinese, travel throughout Asia, spend time with my Taiwanese friends and my Dachshund, Heidi, and tour the island on my sweet motorcycle. Each day is an adventure here, and having the temple only 50 minutes away by bullet train makes life even better. I continue to share the gospel at every opportunity I get ( which is every week sometimes) and have my box of Chinese and English BofMs to pass out...testimony-bearing opportunities are plentiful here. Once a missionary, forever a missionary, I guess. I am incredibly content and happy at this phase of my life - and I am surprised but grateful for this...because I didn't know a single-woman could really be happy. But I am living proof that it's possible. The key is service, love of people, and the Gospel - same things as when we were on our missions. Love to hear from you guys!!! ;) |
