Hello, I was baptized in Abingdon VA back in 1977 by Bernard P. Brockbank III. Missions were fairly difficult in those days in the south though I understand there is more acceptance today. I wanted to try to contact the elder in order to say hello, thank him for sharing the gospel with me and letting him know that my testimony has grown stronger. I was 16 at the time, later I served a mission, went west to college, met my wife at BYU (how typical), and I am now a ward missionary. I have three lovely children who continue to amaze and humble me. All this I owe to the elder that first began teaching me the gospel. I hope he is blessed as the Lord has blessed me.
