My mother, Kathleen Akin Lee, was baptized in 1977 by Elder Gary Goodrich. I was 4 years old at the time. We moved back to Georgia in 1980 where my mother remained active in the Church. In February 2004 a cancerous brain tumor ended her life. I will forever be grateful to Elder Goodrich and his companion for coming down our street in Franklin Tennessee that Fall day in 1977 and to my mother for obeying the promptings of the Spirit. Those small actions so long ago have changed the course of history for countless generations. |
