He served in Nauvoo during the temple open house. I believe that his mission was extended for that purpose. I am not sure when he will be released but in June, he was still in Nauvoo. In that mission, they rotate missionaries between different assignments so if you are back there you will have to ask someone where he is. He was working in the blacksmith shop and ended up with his picture in an issue of the BYU Alumni magazine in that environment.
Those who remember and loved Sister Cannon will be sad to know that she passed away a few years ago. President Cannon has now re-married.
Utah people can see him teaching math and physics from time on Channel 9, the education channel. Beyond that, I think he is retired. |
