My family and I have been living in Olathe, Kansas, since 1993. I have two daughters and three stepchildren. My daughters live in Kentucky. The oldest is awaiting her mission call and the youngest is finishing her junior year of high school. Two of my stepchildren (23 & 17) are at home with us and the third lives in Lawrence, KS, with his wife and their two young boys. Being a grandpa is awesome! I don't feel old. :)
We are anxiously awaiting the dedication of the KC Missouri Temple on May 6, 2012. Pres. Monson and Elder Holland will be in attendance. We've been heavily involved with the temple open house activities and the upcoming cultural celebration. The temple has been well received in this area with 80,000+ taking the temple tour over the last three weeks. What a blessing it is to have a temple so close by! It has been a long time coming! |
