Time for my regular (and now correct) 5 year update...
I went back to school in fall 2006 to pursue a Ph.D. in biochemistry, and continue pursuing said Ph.D. today. We are all active in our various ward callings, quorums, societies, and classes. I am currently 2nd counselor in the Bryan 1st Ward YM presidency, working with the Deacons quorum, and serve as scoutmaster of Troop 968 - going on 5 years now. Other than husband and father, this is my favorite calling I've ever had.

It's sometimes hard not to think of myself as a recently returned missionary until I realize that I'm very clearly not, and must inevitably continue growing older and likely, but evitably, wider.
