Do you remember Elder "Sii Khaaw?" When I left Thailand in February 1986, I had little idea what the future would bring. It's been an interesting ride. I married my wife Divina (a convert since 1985) in the Los Angeles Temple in 1987. I completed a BA in Linguistics in 93. I joined the US Army in the same year and served four years in the regular or 'active' army and four years as a reservist. I went back to school and received a BS in Geography in 2000. Now I work as a civil servant in northern VA. I can still converse in Thai and Lao - and thanks to the Army, get by in Arabic. If you are ever in the DC area look me up.
Divina and I have two sons, Adam and Jared. Adam is in high school and Jared is in his last year of middle school. |
