Dale "Reino" Jeffery | Your Occupation: Systems Analyst / OPR Hill Air Force Base | Spouse: Ronda DeLong | Comments: I was married on July 11, 1986 in the Seattle Temple to my sweetie, Ronda DeLong, who actually waited for my return. I have 5 fabulous children - Chelsy, Chasen, Carson, Carter and Joshua - and one grandchild- Jace. My oldest son, Chasen, just entered the MTC Feb 14, 2007 and is also going to Thailand.
I have served in many callings including Young Men’s President, Executive Secretary, Elders Q. 2nd Counselor, Bishop, High Council, Ward Mission Leader (3 times) and so on...My wife is a stay at home mom and is a wonderful mother and wife. Somehow she has managed to stay young and cute while I've only gotten gray hair and overweight. She has served in a multitude of callings as well - Relief Society, Young Woman's President, Primary, Young Woman's advisor, Nursery, Young Woman's Secretary.
I raise honey bees, South African plants, and always have a book in my hand. I study constantly and research a multitude of interests from nutrition to Hebrew to heirloom garden plants to a dozen other interests that flow in and out of my life.
Others that were my companions were Elder David Ottley & Elder James Weston - MTC, Elder David Taylor P-LOG Feb 85, Elder Brian Hatch P-LOG April 85, Elder Reino "Monkey Attack" Jeffries P-LOG, My greenie (You've got to share the monkey story) June 85, Elder Matthew Francis Korat August, Elder Mark "Elephant Man" Biggs, (Another hugely funny story) Korat October, Elder Fogg Korat January, Elder Russel Holbrook Bangkhen February, Elder Bryan Arndt Bangkhen March, and finally Elder Dansie April -May 1986.
The Savior has been the mainstay of my life, for which I am filled with gratitude daily. The gospel is my favorite subject and I thoroughly enjoy the study of it and the blessings that flow from it. I hope to hear from other companions and friends from Thailand. |
