When the mission ran up against the wrong public official, I was one of the many that was sent out of country. I was lucky enough to go to the Philippines. While there I baptized a family and after my return State Side, I wrote to their daughter for a year. Yeah, that is how long it took me to get her to marry me, don't rub it in! We will be married 30 years, May of 2010. We have 2 awesome sub-humans, a male and a female. The boy child also served a mission in the Philippines and married a Filipina. The girl-child is currently at BYU and plans to teach English over seas. She obviously gained her nobility from her Mom. I bought her a WRX STi and taught her how to race so she would stick around California....where did I go wrong?? We are deeply involved in dirt bikes, muscle cars, illegal street racing and just about anything fast. Okay, at my advanced age, anything over 60 is fast.....now my kids hope that some day they will be as fast as I tell them I USED to be! I broke my back dirt biking 6 years ago and had to give up racing. Now we just ride like retarded banshees and marvel when we go more than a few miles without crashing. We live on the coast in Southern California where the weather is fine, the pollution is heavy and the neighbors speak only foreign languages while selling their home made drugs. It keeps things exciting! Life is grand but I realize now how old I am getting 'coz I am so excited to remenisce about the good old days. One weird sensation is looking at these missionary names and thinking of them as a bunch of little, immature brats...and then realizing they are now all old farts like me!!! Wow, where did the time go?? Well, I plan to keep going as fast as possible to stay ahead of time...or at least crash real hard trying! Either way, I'll go out with a smile. Hope all is well with all my old pals and that life has rewarded you for your valiant efforts as servants in the Lord's Army. God bless. Sawadii khrap, thii rag'
