I just finished serving in Surin Province for the last six months (May-Oct 2003). Surin is the city of elephants, so everywhere you go there is elephants roaming around with their trainers stopping to let you feed their elephant. I became a senior companion when I moved to Surin and I became the District Leader at the same time, my new companion Elder Kenison was out for only one moves so I had became a trainer also.. Being a trainer is really special, it's like seeing your junior who is a baby in the missionary world, learn to take his first steps and speak his first words. Elder Kenison moved away (July) and I got a greenie fresh out of the MTC, Elder Pugh. It was a great experience to be able to show him the missionary life. I really enjoyed being in Surin the Branch there has about 40 members attending church weekly, I moved from Surin (Oct) My new area is Bang Khae Saay 4, my companion is Elder Adamson and I am the District Leader again and things are still going great. |
