News Item: Mission Presidents Visit Rwanda
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add News
This message was originally sent to me by Karen Keeley of Farmington, New Mexico, mother of Elder Keeley currently serving a fulltime mission.
"....several weeks ago the Uganda Kampala mission president and his AP's, together with the mission president of the D.R. of Congo and his AP's, all visited the country of Rwanda, to see if it is ready for the gospel and to decide whether it should be an English-speaking or a French-speaking mission. They sent their report to the area presidency, who sent it to the First Presidency in Salt Lake with their recommendations. No word yet, but it will be exciting if Rwanda is opened to missionaries. If they decide it should be French-speaking, Rwanda will probably be part of the D.R. Congo-Kinshasa mission, and if English-speaking it will probably be part of the Uganda-Kampala mission.”
