Poltava

The Church in Poltava.

Poltava was opened for missionary work in 1998. the missionaries in Poltava speak Ukrainian.

The following is from an anonymous former missionary. At least his name didn't come through on email, just his address. If you submitted this information, send your name so we can give you credit.

Jan 11, 2001: "Missionaries there speak Russian like the rest although we do learn to recognise some ukrainian. About 45 minutes out by train is the village Golovach where 11 members live. Missionaries teach English lessons there once a week and visit the members. Actually, I am mistaken, it is now only ten members because sister Nadejda Terntevna died in the summer of 2000. I just got a letter from a member saying that the church has bought land and is planning a church building there in poltava."
