The latest letter we received from Elder Logan Mendenhall was written on July 26, 2006. Included in the letter was a quote that he had received from Pres. Nally while conversing with him in the MTC office while waiting for his companion to call his mom and let her know about his gall stone surgery. It was very touching and I would like to share it with you all. It is a quote by Sir Winston Churchill and is as follows:
"To every man there comes in his lifetime that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a special thing, unique to him and fitted to his talent; what a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for this work which would be his finest hour."
May will all be prepared and be able to recognize that unique moment in each of our lives. What a great quote, eh? |
