I arrived in Arizona on Wednesday morning and was picked up by the assistants to the president. Without meeting the president or anything I was wisked away to meet my new companion, Sis. Kruman. My first American since the MTC! But there was more to the story than met the eye... I was put into the Spanish program! No hablo espanole! Hora yo hablo espanole, or rather I can say a simple prayer in spanish. But luckily half of our area is English speaking too.
One cool experience I had yesterday was learning about why I was put originally into the spanish program. We arrived to our dinner apointment a bit early, so we decided to tract for 20 minutes. We tracted into a spanish house, so I threw out what little spanish I know and the woman agreed to having other missionaries come and visit her! It was really neat. The Lord really brought to my mind all the things I've been studying. The Church is true! |
