I am so happy to be living on Okinawa, Japan due to my husband's military assignment as an Air Force KC-135 pilot. After my mission, I became an ESL teacher and have fond memories of teaching those from all different countries. It is such a priviledge to associate with LDS members from different cultures/countries and reminds me of times on my mission. My husband and 2 sons (Cade 3 1/2, Cael 1 1/2) and I attend a military branch and I enjoy my 2 callings as Visiting Teaching Coordinator and Gospel Doctrine teacher. I recently was able to travel up to Tokyo and reconnect with Hiromi Wajiki, which was wonderful. I wish I had kept in better touch with so many treasured friends from my mission. I am so grateful for that experience and all it continues to teach me as I look back . . . |
