Dear Young family and the missionaries of the Richmond VA Mission. I served in the Washington DC South mission from 2001-2002. I served only in Virginia, so though my mission wasn't in Richmond, I've still been so affected by this tragedy. I love the people of Virginia. I can only imagine what must be going through the minds of the missionaries. I know that the work you're involved in, and the work dear Elder Young continues to be involved in, is sacred. I know it changes lives. I know that the tender mercies of our Heavenly Father are real and palpable. I know I'm just another faceless person out of millions who wishes to offer her best wishes and support and love. Please know that all of us are praying for your sweet family and the missionaries. 'The standard of truth has been erected. NO unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing. Persecutions may rage. Armies may assemble. Mobs may combine and calumny may defame. But the truth of God will go forth nobly, boldly, and independent. Till it has penetrated every continent, visited every climb, swept every country, and sounded in every ear. 'Til the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say, "The Work is Done." We love you Elder Young.
