Last year I was released from the Primary presidency in my ward and sustained as the ward music chairman. It's been a good experience. On alternate Saturdays I play the organ in the Provo Temple chapel for an hour and a half. It's a wonderful experience.
The Welfare Services puppet project for children in Africa has been finished! at least the four Primary sharing times we put together. Who knows what will be next! Actually, I'm working with a professor at Utah State on an exercise curriculum for 8-11 yr. olds, and had a program I developed to teach kids not to use tobacco taken to the Ukraine by some BYU students last spring. It's being used by some schools here in the U.S. as well. Exciting!
I've been working as an artist in residence at some elementary schools, and have two of those so far this year--one in February and the other in March/April. Very fun!
For clarification--Elder Adlhoch and I were in the mission home at the same time for a few weeks. Otherwise my companions were hermanas: Ponciano & Saito (MTC), Otero, Harper, Munk, Moreno, Cox, Crawford, Carmeli, Grow, and Canelo! |
