Hi All,
long time no see. I hope all is well. Life is great and am happy to be alive. The years I spent as a missionary were not the best for me as it turns out I was quite sick and struggled to get through each day. But, I do appreciate all of you who were patient with me and made life bearable. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I listed not only some of my companions but others who were in my districts and/or apartments. I should also list Peter Carrier (Paris East, as my first companion and interestingly his father and mine served together when they were missionaries in Argentina), and Stephen Terry (Champigny/Nogent sur Marne). Also Josh Heyer who was in our Champigny Apartment, and Steven Johnson, Kenneth Nielsen, and Elder Cavanaugh (we had some great ping pong battles which I always seemed to come out on the losing end) in our BLVD Voltaire Residence/Chapel. Also, James Powers in Colombe.
I am the father of five wonderful children, the youngest who is serving an LDS Mission in Cambodia. I remarried in 2007 and I have the most wonderful wife. I taught U.S. and World History in the public schools for a number of years. I developed my love of history while on my mission, especially when working in Paris, and later in La Rochelle (where as it turns out some of my ancestors lived as French Hugenots). I received my Master and Bachelors degrees from Utah State University. My area of study for my Master's Degree was the French Revolution, with my Master's Thesis delving into how Le Journal de Paris evolved during the Revolution. I am presently a tech writer/documentation analyst for a multinational corporation. You are welcome to email me at m2dad@yahoo.com. I would love to hear from you all.
