The France Paris Mission has had several mission songs. Previous mission songs have included "La vie en rose" (with adapted lyrics) and "Ye, Elders of Israël". The current mission song was commissioned by President Fife in 1985. Shannon Spencer wrote the music and helped write the words with Monique Rivoire.
The current version had minor textual changes under President Jones to improve the doctrinality and inclusivity. In the original version, verse 1 used to read: "Porter un message divin", and the chorus ended: "pour chacun de nos freres".
