Hey folks! I'm married and have 3 kids--all girls--and am just finishing up an Executive MBA at BYU while working for Selnate. I run the Provo office, which prepares international students for college in the US by helping them pass their TOEFL, GRE, and/or GMAT tests. (See our website at www.selnate.com.) We're also responsible for recruiting teachers to go to Japan to teach English in public elementary, junior, and senior high schools as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs). We have more than 1,600 full-time teachers over there now and it's a lot of fun. (see www.interac.co.jp/recruit for more info) I particularly enjoy helping international-minded people reach their dreams, whether they be foreigners headed to the US or North Americans headed to Japan. I guess I should point out that this is President Niiyama's company. I've been at this company now since 1998. I continue to learn amazing things from (now Elder) Niiyama.

What else? After the mission, I got an BA in Japanese and worked for a Japanese travel agency in LA on and off for 6 years. I got to work my way through college by working a dream job at the MTC. I turned my 3-year degree into a 5-year degree by playing in every band and symphony group that would take me, including marching band, pep band (basketball games), concert band, and wind symphony. (The last group took me along my last year to tour Asia. Very fun!)

I've enjoyed service in the Church, including such callings as Scoutmaster, every position in the Young Men's organization, teacher, etc. I'm now serving as Clerk, which is very student-friendly while I'm in school. Done in June 07!

I have fond memories of the mission and of everyone I worked with there. I recently read back through my mission journals and read about so many people--companions and not--that touched my life. I am grateful to have served with so many wonderful people.
