Done | Floyd Hassinger | David B Kerr | John Knapp Yes (Baird) | Spouse: Kathleen | Comments: We have five daughters. Four are married. One, age 22, is still at home. We have thirteen grandchildren. I am a general contractor. I served as a temple construction missionary in Asunction, Paraguay with my family. It reminded me so much of my mission! We were there until the Temple was dedicated on May 19th of 2002. The Temple district includes areas of Argentina such as Resistencia. We had the opportunity to travel around visiting many of the places I served. Mendoza now has about 60 chapels. 9 or ten stakes. Mendoza central still looks the same. The chapel in Godoy Cruz is now the mission office and the basketball court that used to be beside it is the location of the new chapel. The mission home in Cordoba is almost the same, except the trees are huge. I could almost see the Gorton family there. I think there are 11 stakes in Cordoba now. Resistencia has two stakes now. Elder Craig Hunt came to visit us while we were there. We visited there and actually spoke in Stake Conference! The country has really changed. There are huge grocery stores and most streets are all paved. The old smoke belching buses are all gone. The city center is beautiful! Trees still line the streets and they still use tile for their sidewalks. I would enjoy hearing from you. |
