Our six children are all grown and scattered throughout the world. Amy is a BYU graduate and got her master's at Northwestern. She served a mission in the Brazil Campinas Mission. She married John Hall from Fargo, North Dakota and they have 3 children. John is a Foreign Service Officer and they are currently posted in Chennai, India. We got to visit them and it was a great trip! Our only son, Patrick, is also a BYU graduate and served his mission in the Mexico Monterrey North Mission. He married Eliza Greenwood from Albuquerque and they are parents of 4 children. Patrick is also a Foreign Service Officer and is currently at the State Department in Washington DC. Nicole is a graduate of Utah State University and served in the Brazil São Paulo South Mission. She married Wade Crandall from Centerville, Utah, and they have 3 children. They live in Bountiful, Utah. Holly is a BYU graduate and works for the federal government in Provo. Caroline graduated from Utah State served in the Chile Rancagua Mission. She teaches elementary school here in the San Antonio area. Our youngest, Caitlin, is finishing up her degree at Utah State. I was in the Foreign Service for several years and we lived in Africa, Mexico and Chile. We left the Foreign Service in 1999 and are now living in San Antonio, Texas where I still work for the federal government. While in Chile we drove over to Argentina and spent a weekend in Mendoza. Mendoza looks about the same, but Maipu was unrecognizable--much bigger. I have served in bishoprics and on the high council and was the first elder's quorum president in the country of Zaire (now Congo). Right now I seem to be perpetually a counselor in the high priests group leadership in our ward. I really enjoyed the reunion with Pres. Scott in the Jordan River temple in 2004. |
