Over the years since the mission life in Perth, life has certainly been pretty interesting. I've been married twice, and my second wife and I have 3 kids in total (1 each from previous relationships, and 1 of our own). We reside in the country town of Te Awamutu, approx 20 mins west of Hamilton or Temple View.
To cut a long story short, I just wanna say 2 things. First of all, a huge "THANK YOU" to President Campbell who has been a source of great strength and encouragement to me and like a lot of us, I'm sure his advice that he's given to us from our mission days is very pertinent today. And secondly, to all those that I've had the privelege to be acquanted with... from my Boomy-group & all the Kiwi missionaries that I had the great opportunity to serve with in doing our maori firesides at different destinations throughout the Perth.. "kia ora!".
AND of course, I couldn't do any of this if it wasn't for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Like I said... life has been very interesting since the mission days but I've found that, with every single day that I've lived since I've returned home, that as long as I stay faithful and do what is right, we'll always be blessed. And that's what I want for me and my family.
Kia-Ora te whanau and Arohanui,
Maia O. Smith
