Wow, i was sent this link by Sis. Judy Aires (now Paize), and it's pretty wild to think back on the Mission days. Great memories, fantastic times and i'm ever convinced that all i learned stands me in good stead today. i never underestimate my mission experience. i keep in close contact with Jeff Singley, Scott Stirling, haven't caught up with Thompson or Schafer (just found him on facebook) much but all great guys. Married, coming up to 14 years, 2 boys, Maxim 5 years, Oliver 2. I've served in various capacities in the church since the mission days and am currently enjoying being able to teach the YSA and young married institute.
I can't figure out how to add companions without them being already registered, but in order i think i served with Elders Schaffer, Lemmon, Thompson, Larkin, Parker, Vidal and Stirling.
I can recall Elder Barlow being an absolute GUN, Escobar, so many - incredible times a misison. worth 30 years of personal study time in 'normal life' mode. |
