I returned home to Melbourne, in August 1977. In 1979 I married Sue (see Sister McLachlan in the alumni) in the Hamilton, New Zealand Temple. I am still crazy about her! We have three children, Matthew (ex-Fiji Suva Mission, who is now married and lives in Adelaide), Felicity (the punk rocker/roller derby girl of the family, who is now married and lives in suburban Melbourne) and James (who is happy to live at home, and is an elder preparing for a mission mid-2009). Sue and I reckon we can serve our first mission together in 2012. I've had several Church callings and am currently a high councilor. I am on a few months' Long Service Leave after being with the Victoria Police for 28 years and plan to retire at the end of August 2009. I'm involved with organizing my town's annual festival and the local family history group. I like playing ukulele and launching water rockets. I am very thankful for my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I am so happy to be in the Church! The Church is true! Life is good. |
