Graduated from BYU in 1984. Served in the USAF and ANG, now I'm back in the USAF. My wife and I have five children and 2 grandchildren. Oldest daughter Lauren graduated from BYU, is married and lives in Virginia. Son Devin got married in August (see photo) and daughter Caitlin got married in September. Both go to BYU with their spouses. Ethan and Allison are at home with Mom.
I was activated by the Air Force for a six-month deployment to Afghanistan and left at the end of October. I'm in Kabul at HQ International Security Assistance Force, the NATO command here. There are 30-50 Aussies on our compound, including one colleague who works in my office. This will be a life-changing experience (like serving a mission). I'm in a very unique branch, the Kabul Afghanistan Military Branch. Last week I blessed the Sacrament with a 9-mm pistol strapped to my thigh. That was a first for me. We have about 25 men and 5 women at church each Sunday. We meet on Friday because that's the day when operations are the slowest. E-mail me. I'd love to hear from you!! |
