Australia Sydney North
Australia Sydney North Mission is centred around the northern "half" of Sydney city, Australia's largest city.
Sydney city itself is home to close to 4 million people and has a culturally diverse population.
Individuals of all cultures and walks of life have long been attracted to the cities opportunities for work.
Sydney is seen as a far more "fast-paced" city than other cities in Australia.
The current mission boundaries cover as far north along the East Coast of New South Wales as Tamworth, and as far west into the "outback" as Dubbo, where the proselyting area is larger than the state of Utah!
Area's in the mission range from Sydney harbour's homes of the rich-and-famous to the western suburbs heat and often levels of poverty and crime.
Missionaries serving in the Sydney North Mission would do well to prepare for both very cold and very hot temperatures. The humidity in Sydney during the summer months can be very high, which, when coupled with temperatures reaching for the 100 degree farenheit (40 degrees celcius) mark can leave missionaries feeling very hot and sticky!
