Amongst several hundred LDS missionaries, Pres. Nielsen is a legend for two reasons: Firstly, for the duration of their missions, Pres was like a father figure to them. He showed a great love, led by inspiration and taught with power. He changed the nature of missionary work in New South Wales and had a profound impact on the lives of many. Secondly, he had such a great manner of talking! Pres had a strong Sothern Utah drawl. Combine this with as many flipping turkey farm boy colloquialisms you can poke a stick at, and you get a guy who you loved to hear speak - and I'm as serious as a heart attack about that. |
