| Whilst serving in Taree, NSW, I grew to love and appreciate my first companion Elder Ellis. He was nearing the end of his missonary experience and contemplating what he would do upon his return home - schooling, family, work. This initially caused me some significant personal concern in regards to what I was to do after my mission, however my concerns were all dispelled after I had sought the Lord in personal prayer regarding the matter. I was directed to concentrate on my missionary labours, and that when the time came to return home, that if I stayed close to the Lord, things would work out. They would not necessarily be easy, but it would all work out. The Lord had spoken peace to my soul and from that day onwards, I was able to concentrate on my mission. Many years later, I can testify that the Lord's words to me have been fulfilled. |
