Sister Stewart and I were very tired as we cycled to our next appointment. We needed to go to the bathroom. The nearest member's place was up 3 flights of stairs. A man said hello then Stewart asked to use the bathroom. He invited us into his home. I wasn't really keen but Sister Stewart had that gleam in her eye.. She knew we were to teach a discussion. For his kindness we asked if we could share a brief message wth him. He agreed. Discussion 1 was going well, he seemed agitated when we got to the part about Joseph Smith. We taught that principleand the next when all of a sudden the man grabbed a chair to hit us with it. We remainded calm and it seemed as if we could not move, only our mouths continued to testify to him of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. Every time he raised that chair to strike us, yelling "Deny the Book of Mormon is True"..we answered in unison each time that we could not and continued to testify of it. There was a strong force that stopped him each time. He then put the chair down and asked us to leave. This is one experience that I would never forget. It showed me the importance of testifying of the truthfulness of this wonderful book and the strength of testimony. Sister Stewart and I were protected with such power that neither of us would ever forget God's hand in this experience. |

LDS QUOTE: |
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
