He married Brianna and are now expecting. Brayden has partnered with us at Chateau Construction and is going to business school at OSU. It's hard to believe that I will be a grandpa soon, but I'm thrilled about it.
Laurie and I spent some time in the Alsace and the Loire areas in May to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We spent a few days with the L'Homels in the Nancy area and go to go to church there. It was great to see some faces from 22 years ago.
******************************
My mission was an incredible experience for me and has provided a great foundation for life. I have been married for almost 20 years to Laurie (Connelly) Moore and we have 4 children: Brayden (23), Megan (19), Ryan (15), and Madeline (12). They are wonderful and challenging at the same time :-) Megan has Down syndrome. My formal education is in business (MBA from BYU) with experience at IBM, AT&T & HP, but I left corporate America to start an Internet company. My father was killed in a tragic car accident and that caused me to reflect upon what I was doing. I resigned from my Internet company and now I run my dad's bio-tech company and a custom home construction company in Oregon. Of course, being self-employed comes with some stress, but I love my jobs.
Frederic L'Homel and his family came to visit us here in Oregon in April of 2006 and that was a wonderful experience. I've been able to return to the mission area a couple of times. President Walker is an Area Authority for the Northwest and so we've been able to see him a few times, too.
I would love to hear from any of you. You can reach me at: nbimike@comcast.net.
Best Regards,
Mike |
