Comments:
I often think about the two years of learning that kicked off my life as an adult. I use "adult" simply because society gives you that title as soon as you are 18. Yet, for me, I have taken many more years to grow into those boots.
I admit that it has required a persistent wife and the responsibility of raising young'uns to move me from adolescence to a state of actively producing value for others instead of just myself.
After returning home from the missionfield, I promptly married the first woman that I saw. Luckily, she was looking to marry the first man she saw. Isn't that a real healthy way to choose a mate? I was married before my first anniversary home from the field. Pres. Roueche told me to start on the path to choosing a partner for life. Who would have guessed that I was that eager to fill my life up with others.
In the years since, we have had four children. (boy, girl, boy, boy) We have taken some roads less traveled. Our first was delivered by the same doctor that delivered me. The other three were delivered by midwives. The last two took their first breaths in our own home.
As far as education goes, I have long believed that a formal one is not necessary. Hence, I have a Bachelors in Business Admin. and am working on a Masters. I believe that personal education is more valuable and so I read as many books as I can that will improve my own understanding of natural law and the proper role of government.
In 1998, I started my own business and then subsequently merged it with another in 2001. I am registered in the securities and insurance fields.
All in all, I am enjoying my life immensely and look forward to returning to the mission areas with the family, soon.
