Hercilio Luz bridge recovery priced at US$39mn - Brazil .

(From Business News Americas) (BNamericas.com) - The repair of the Hercilio Luz bridge in Brazil's Santa Catarina state will cost some US$39mn, the state government reported.
French company Ingerop and Brazil's Sondotecnica carried out the studies on the bridge, which has been closed since 1991.
"The basic problem are the arch [support] bars, which are under strain and represent 40% of the work cost," Ingerop president Christian Delage said.
The state government plans to seek financing to fund the project from the fiscal incentive law, as well as from the country's national development bank BNDES and the Inter-American Development Bank. - (BNamericas.com)
