News Item: New Cities Opened to the Work

The city of Uniao dos Palmares, located near the border of Alagoas and Pernambuco, was finally opened by the mission last month after much evaluation from President Lopes. As of March 26th, President Lopes reported the there were between 15 to 20 baptisms marked for the following Saturday. "Alugamos uma casa grande para eles e temos as reuniões lá. Na primeira sacramental havia 37 pessoas. Já temos Instituto às quintas feiras e curso de leitura aos sábados. As pessoas são muito receptivas e a igreja vai crescer muito lá," said President Lopes.
Other cities that were also opened: Marechal Teodoro and the Barra dos Coqeiros
