Comments: Two years ago I took my wife and younger son and my daughter back to the mission to meet a family I saw join the church in Stockton. At the time I was serving this couple were looking for something better than what they had. The husband had prayed constantly looking for a sign with no relief, "until" my companion and I showed up. He claims that he had no interest in the "Mormons". One day while working in his yard and comtemplating what he should do he walked around the end of the house just as my companion and I came walking up the front walk checking out a refural we had recieved a week before. As soon as he saw us his first comment was"Oh no! Not the Mormons!" But he and his wife loved the church and joined and today he is on the High Council and she is a leader in the Relief Society. Two of their children went on missions. I feel my mission experience was a complete success in my first area. |
