I'm the NYC missionary from Manhattan Ward. Pres thought I'd burn out in SF. Reminded him SF was a slow down for me. So they left me there for over 2 years! Had Thanksgiving dinner with the same family 3 Thanksgivings in a row! Thats got to be some kind of record. Never tracted in SF. Oakland Temp gave us zillions of referrals. Had some good times teaching on the Presidio (when an active Army base) too. Also spent a very short time in Santa Clara & San Jose when the mission split. I have the original Mission Logo rubber stamp. "Do it, so others might live" was the motto. We were going to make a cloth patch, but never got around to it.
I'm living a few miles north of NYC. Been married since 87 & I have 2 little girls who mean everything in the world to me! Recently formed my own computer consulting firm. Figured if I was going to work myself to death I'd do it on my own terms. So far I am doing well. You know, I think this computer thing might really take off!
