I'm glad I found this website. I can't believe it's been over 10 years since I served in the Oakland Mission!The experiences I had in those short two years changed my life forever. The crown jewel of the mission for me was the temple. I remember the emotions would just stir within looking out over the city lights on the tarrace at night. What a beautiful site! I miss the Oakland temple pagent.
The standard of truth has been erected, no unhollowed hand can stop the work from progressing. Persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, and calmany may defame. But the truth of God shall go forth, boldly, nobely, and independent. Until it has penetrated every continent, visited every climb, swept every country, and sounded in every ear. Until the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jahovah shall say... The work is done.
