| Elder Damon Black (spring Texas) and I had the great opportunitity to serve in the BEST area ever in the Oakland California Mission- the inner city of Oakland and serve in the Hallelujah Oakland 9th branch. We had both been double transferred into the area just before Christmas- we took over the AP's area (Christensen and Whetten); so they left us nothing. We started tracting and checking our 40 media referrals/day; we met this one amazing lady, Amelia Thomas. We started teaching her and taking her to Church- we even went to her church (Wow- we were dancing in the aisles and shouting praises to the Lord Almighty). Finally, we went to teach her one of the last discussions and she asked to speak to Elder Black alone; he told her that I needed to be able to see him at all times and everything she can tell him was suitable for me to hear. So finally she begins the sacred and special moment... she said.....
"Elder Black, I know I love you in Jesus Christ and you love me in Jesus Christ.. so let's love each other in Jesus Christ- Elder Black, let's get married in Jesus Christ."
She had everything set up- had a minister ready for the next day and everything.
Too bad she wasn't Elder Black's type- she must have liked as he said, "his Oakland booty". |
