2016 was an even better year, as I married my amazing soulmate, Chris Sam!
2006 was an amazing year, full of changes and progress. After nearly 18 years of marriage, many of which were filled with intense struggle, I made some decisions to be true to myself. I have amicably divorced, relocated to Seattle, and begun life anew as an openly gay man. While I don't expect everyone to understand my decisions, I'd like my friends to know that I am happier, and liking myself, more than I can ever remember. Not everything has been easy for myself and my loved ones, but life is good, and the relief of no longer pretending to be someone I'm not has been incredible. As Jesus said, once we know the truth (and acknowledge it), "the truth shall set you free." |
