After completing my mission in 1972, I returned to Brigham Young University, married Nadine Dickens and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in microbiology in 1974. Following graduation Nadine and I moved to California with our daughter Megan where we lived in Santa Monica. I worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown Los Angeles. In 1976 we moved to Durham, North Carolina where I attended graduate school at Duke University. We loved the South and its people for the next 10 years. Our daughter Megan, born in Provo, UT was joined by her three tarheel brothers, Bryan, Cameron and Jonathan. While at Duke, I completed M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, became a research fellow in medicine and joined the faculty in the Department of Pathology. In 1986 we moved to Davis, CA where I joined the faculty in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California. We have totally enjoyed this part of California with our family. I have served in Young Men's, High Priests, the Bishopric and Stake High Council. I currently serve in the Spanish branch of our stake and have been thrilled to recall the language we will all use in the celestial kingdom. It is wonderful to have this website to keep in touch with each of you. |
