Querido Misioneros del Gran Mision Bogota Colombia,
I am always very hesitant to send out a mass correspondance. I am sorry for the informality of this post. As many of you are aware President Richards has been fighting colon cancer for the past 8 months. Both he and Sister Richards has felt the prays and thoughts of many in their behalf which has given them great strength. He greatly appreciate the calls of concern, the letters and thoughtful gifts they have received. We are very are grateful for the medical treatments available, for his continued ability to receive these treatments and for the strength he continues to received from faith in God, his son Jesus Christ and the comforting feelings of the Spirit. His spirits are always uplifted when he receives a phone call, a simple note and visits. We have started to put the written correspondences in a binder so that he can read and reread them. President Richards calls this binder his “Keys to Success” book.
We know this time of the year is very busy for everyone and are hesitant to ask for a little bit of your time. If you are able we would love to have you write a simple thought, memory, message or send a favorite photo to President and Siter Richards. These letters will be placed in the “Keys to Success” book and given to them this Christmas. Please feel free to e-mail your thoughts and we will print them. Please forward this to anyone who you think would like to have this update and request.
