Na Nuedi,
I am so grateful for the time spent serving the Lord in Central America. I was a refugee from El Salvador due to the civil war. In fact, President Arbizu was a Teacher in my first area. How is that for a small world?

I live in Mesa, AZ, with my wife and four youngest kids. I have six total with five grandkids. I spent 15 years with EDS (now HP), as an account executive and have traveled all over the US and Canada, as well as Spain and Brazil. I was ultimately caught up in all the layoffs coming out of that acquisition and am currently an IT consultant.

I just returned from nine days in Panama serving in a program called Smiles for Central America. We saw over 400 "patients" in the clinic, with over 350 being potential future missionaries. It was an incredible experience. I was able to hang out some with Gary Crawford, and able to act as a translator in Spanish. Like riding a bike. I also got to speak with some kunas in a market and I was suprised how much I could speak even after 30 years. Google the organization, very worthwhile and will be game changing for Central America as approximately 80% of the kids seen ultimately end up on missions. I was able to spend a lot of time with Elder/President Altimirano, just recently released as an Area Authority 70. I LOVE CENTRAL AMERICA! Oh, and also worked along side the brother-in-law to Scott Hildebrandt.

Life is good, I see NADIE from the mission and would love to catch up if possible.

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
- Elder L. Tom Perry
