My companions were: Chris Smith, Loren Norman, John Bell, Gary Franchina, Scott Holmes, Rolando Hernandez, Roberto Medina, Angel Intriago, Jerry Cluff, Jorge Chiriguaya, and Tom Hogan.
We now live in Moorhead, MN where I teach Spanish at Minnesota State U. We have three vigorous children, Mariah (8), Lucia (6), and Ethan (2). I went back to Ecuador in 1999 for the dedication of the temple and saw alot of old friends. It is amazing what changes in 10 years -- and what stays the same! It was absolutely wonderful to be back. I thought it would "fix" all my yearnings to go back, but it only made me miss everything more. We've got to find a way to live there and earn a decent living for the family.
