Gloucester Ward Returns to Own Meetinghouse, Holds Open House

On 17 June 2000, after a year of meeting in a local school, the members of the Gloucester Ward in the Cheltenham Stake were able to return to the extended and refurbished meetinghouse. Brother Dale Wood, a member of the bishopric, presented the Mayor of Gloucester, Councillor Terry Haines, and the Mayoress, Miss Anne Miles, with a framed copy of "The Proclamation on the Family," copies of the Book of Mormon, and other Church literature. The visitors spent a long time visiting the many displays and expressed appreciation as committed Christians, for the Church's work in Gloucester.

Following the tour visitors were invited to attend lectures by Don Lind, a former astronaut. - Jennifer Mason, Gloucester Ward, Cheltenham Stake
